I earned my BA from Brown University in African-American Studies and then worked for many years as a health care and child care union organizer in Rhode Island with SEIU 1199NE. I now live in Dorchester, MA and I am a PhD student in Political Science at Boston University. My research interests are related to social movements, race and class in the US, and political thought. I also enjoy writing about film and culture. I have published some essays, I sometimes blog at Margin Walker, and I’m also on Twitter.
